Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Swagman ESPEC two bike platform rack for your electric bikes and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2020 Jayco Redhawk Motorhome. So the ESPEC is really popular because it has that great weight capacity of 70 pounds per bike. Awesome for those who have electric bikes. Now there are some downsides too, like it does make it a bit more of a hassle to load your bikes up because of its free mount as well as lifting your bikes up onto the rack can be tricky. So we're gonna talk about all those things right here in this video. The first thing I wanna talk about though is your clearance, because most bike racks with the Redhawk will have some issues with clearance if you have long handlebars. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome- Video

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris MHS 2 Bike Platform Rack right here on our 2020 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome. So this bike rack is actually gonna be one of my recent favorite bike rack's for motorhomes and RVs. It has that great weight capacity of 80 pounds per bike. Has a lot of stability of the bike on the rack and its RV compatible. So when you're looking at bike racks for E-bikes for your motorhome, usually you're gonna have to deal with a lot of extra levers and straps and knobs but this is a dual wheel mount rack that makes it a lot easier to get your bike on and off the rack. Plus you have some extra features that may help out with that compared to other bike racks we have to do a lot of heavy lifting. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome- Video

Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Piston SR with the hitch adapter right here on our 2020 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome. If you're familiar with the Kuat Piston series of bike racks, you know that they have this really cool piston system where it secures your bike by the front and the rear wheel, and it looks really cool. Another thing to this is a great weight capacity. Now, we have the hitch adapter with the SR right now. So if this was on a vehicle, you'd have 100 pound weight capacity for your bike. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Jayco Redhawk Motorhome- Video

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Yakima OnRamp bike rack. And we're gonna take a look at how it fits on our 2020 Jayco Redhawk motor home. So the OnRamp is pretty popular with motor homes because it has an included ramp attached to the rack which is pretty impressive and it does have a heavy weight capacity except for when it is on your motor home. Since it sits further away compared to when it's on a car there's gonna be a lot more movement there. So the weight capacity is gonna go down to 40 pounds per bike. So for your lighter e-bikes this is still gonna be good, for the heavier e-bikes, just really double check that weight. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Jayco Redhawk Motorhome- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination four and we're actually able to take a look at how it fits on our 2019 Jayco Redhawk motor home. Now this is gonna be a bike rack that a lot of people are interested in if you wanna carry around multiple bikes without taking up a lot of space or a lot of money. This is gonna be a really sturdy rack for its entry level price point. And you have a lot of versatility there for bikes' different shapes and sizes. Now, what it is not though is it's not an electric bike rack, it only has a 35 pound per bike weight capacity. And you do have to be mindful that when you have it on your motor home, while it is motor home rated there will be a little bit more movement behind your motor home versus behind a car. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman E-Spec platform style bike rack on the back of our 2023 Jayco Alante motor home. So this is going to be a bike rack that's designed for use on motor homes, campers, fifth wheels or in this case our motor home. It's going to be a platform style rack that holds the bike in these cradles and primarily by our frame up top with a frame hook. Because it makes frame contact, it's not the best for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes are gonna need a bike adapter bar to make sure this hook has something good to grab onto and keep it secure. Aside from that, it's going to be designed for use with e-bikes. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Jayco Alante Motorhome- Video

Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT Premium Hanging-Style Bike Rack on the back of our 2023 Jayco Alante Motor Home. Now, like I said, it's gonna be a hanging-style bike rack capable of holding up to four bikes. And what makes the CURT Premium unique is the design of the arms. You can see at the very end here, the arms narrowed together so they're a lot closer together. This is gonna make it more accommodating for kids' bikes because those smaller frames typically have a hard time fitting over the dual arm design of most hanging style racks, so it reduces the need to get a bike adapter bar. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Jayco Redhawk Motorhome- Video

Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the CURT Premium hanging style bike rack here on our 2018 JayCo RedHawk motor home. Now the CURT Premium, like I said, is a hanging style rack. That means the bike hangs by its frame. We've got three points of contact, two straps over the top of the frame holding it down into these cradles here and then a third strap around the seat post limiting our side to side movement, helping with bike to bike contact. Now it does have a total weight capacity of 180 pounds. more

Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Jayco Melbourne Motorhome- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule hitching post pro on our 2012 Jayco Melbourne.So this is going to be able to hold up to four bikes with three tie down points per bike. And this is RV approved so you don't have to worry about it having extra shake and play down on the road. Looking at our straps here, they are a rubberized strap and underneath you see that there is a lot of divots here and that's gonna make room for your bike cables so they're not smashing up against your frame.It's really, really simple to take this thing off the rack, you just pull these loose and this anti-sway cradle, what it's gonna do, it's gonna limit that bike to bike contact that you get when you're going down the road. Once that's done, you can just lift your bike off. more

Reese Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Jayco Greyhawk Motorhome- Video

Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Reese 3 hanging style bike rack on our 2019 Jayco Greyhawk. This is going to be able to hold up to three bikes and it does have two different points of contact with the frame that it straps down to. It's a very nice rack, it is RV approved. All you have to do to remove it is just take these straps off, pretty simple and then you can lift it right off. It does not have a anti-sway cradle, but you're not going to have any bike to vehicle contact here.As you can see there is a rubber insert here, it's going to protect your bike frames and underneath here isn't going to do any damage as well, so you can be rest assured your bikes are going to be safe on the back. more

Now, this 2-bike hanging rack is motorhome approved, so you will be able to use it for your Jayco Greyhawk. It's got a nice sturdy steel construction to it, so it's going to hold up well through those long journeys that you might be taking in your motorhome.
